Hi all, i remember building my 1st gundam some 20 years ago.
Planning to get back to the hobby & build a few for leisure.

Any recommendations on what tools i need & also places to purchase the plastic kit?

Also any places to go for workshops etc?

tools will depend on wat u intend to do with the kit. if u are snap fitting, then just get a cutter or nail clipper, and some sandpaper. if u wanna clear seamlines and paint, then u will need cement, putty, spraycan/airbrush/brush etc etc

for kits, u can check out hobby art gallery or mworkshop at sunshine plaza. or look out for sales in dept stores like taka, og, bhg, metro

some hobby shops conduct course on gunpla modelling. there is also a modelling club which conduct modelling courses at kampong glam community centre

Yup. Painted them in humbrol paint, it smells bad. Still remember it was the F91 plastic kits. Did not realize it was a hobby till i chanced upon this thread a few days ago.

Also tried to build a tamiya APV but it was too tough for a 13 year old then.

Thanks, i plan to try out on snap fitting, maybe clear seams etc. nothing too tough for the moment.

For courses, are there any pictures? I'm aware of the courses @ m workshop but those r mostly for military stuffs.

Guess what now ? The novel version of the Banshee is an online exlusive from Bandai Hobby Online.

http://p-bandai.jp/hobby/?rt=go

It comes pack with the Magnum and Shield and instead of the Psycoframe glowing Orange, it will glow......green.
