Thought they need Japan credit card and don't ship to SG?
For this to work, have to be in Japan for a week or so and near a convenience store that does online orders and collections. You make your order using the shop address and make payment to the convenience store with your foreign card. The convenience store will then make order. No limit to what and quantity you want to order unless online store stipulated. Depending on the amount you order, savings could possibly pay off part of the japan trip cost. So if got a friend going japan and planning on doing the above, doesnt hurt to ask for a limited item or two.

Hi guys, can any kind soul guide me through the process of ordering paint/thinner supplies from taobao? I've tried twice so far, with the sellers rejecting both my purchases.

First attempt was through Taobao Global Direct Shipping. The seller contacted me and said they can't dispatch the goods as they won't be accepted.

The second attempt was through Global Consolidate and Shipping. Again the seller contacted me saying they can't dispatch the goods as they most likely won't be accepted, and that even if it does get accepted, they'll need to rearrange for it to be shipped by sea.

Can any kind soul guide me step by step through the process??:s11:

Paints and such can only be transported by sea. Air will require them to do extra legwork by getting an air permit.

Actually can get commercial thinner and then water down to what you need. For paints, Tamiya paints are relatively cheap but if want cheaper, can go an art shop and find an acrylic paint you like.

SG prices with Japan price listed on box. Even with 20%-40% discount, that's a lot of mark up. Would not be surprised if people get their gunpla fix through other channels. Seriously hoping June Gundam event at taka will have better promo.

I wouldn't hold my breath. Judging by the past few years, it's mostly MRSP to 20% off.

My latest shipment of paints (Mr Color acrylics, primers etc.. no thinners) was shipped by 4px, bought from Enlly hobby in Jan 2016. No problems all the way to Popstation. Tried direct shipping before but was stopped by Enlly's staff.

Anyone has successfully shipped paints via 4px since?

I tried 4px and various sellers(including enlly) have contacted me to request that I cancel my order and request for a refund. Got well over $200 waiting to be credited back into my bank account =/

Seems they are enforcing the shipping restrictions more stringently now then. That sucks cos 4px to popstation is the way to go for me.

Depends how fast you need the supplies. Best to order a month supply and a bit extra if going by sea.

How I packed my 31" luggage for the return flight.
So supposing the case was empty, that means around 6x RX78 MG + 4 HG Barbatos would be able to fit snugly. Now that i look at it, 32" may not be enough. Have to consider shipping the cheaper items back to SG.

6x RX78 MG + 4 HG Barbatos???!!!

If you ship the cheaper items back to SG, kindof defeat the purpose of buying the things there. :(
In that case, might as well buy online... :o

True. I wonder if Tokyo shops are like Taiwan where they will help to pack swee swee into check in box if buy a lot. I could simply buy enough luggage weight for 2 of such boxes. The boxes should be able to buy at their post office.
