Hi guys,

I need some assistance on using Gaia metallic colors. I sprayed first with Gaia gloss black, after dried I sprayed Star Bright Silver. I did many layers of the star bright silver, but I can still see the black underneath. Instead of getting a bright chrome like finish, it looks like dark steel color.

Hi guys,

Have you tried to spray the silver on something else, looks like the paint may not be thick to cover the black base.

Hi guys, I'm would be starting my RG astray gundam soon. Thinking of airbrushing it candy red frame and pearl white armor. Got a few questions to ask before starting..

1. I intend to use clear red over star bright silver, after that must I still spray gloss clear coat?
2. Since the kit comes with dry stickers, is there anyone selling water transfer decals instead?
3. As for the frame, since it seems to have white and red bits, how to spray them in their respective colors without damaging the frame?

1. yes, better to have clear gloss coat to give it more shine and to protect ur paint
2. not sure. if Bandai dun have, u can check Samueldecals
3. not familiar with the kit. if u cant separate the parts for spraying different colour, then u can either handpaint or mask and spray

1) Clear coat is a must to bring out the shine and secondly, to protect your paint.
2) You can visit HAW or Hobbymate to check their stash of 3rd party decals. Can't recall Bandai is producing new water slide decal sets nowadays.
3) You can paint the individual parts before putting them together, works for both inner frame and external pieces.

Got the same one too. Just that some of the decal sides are very easily broken into bits and pieces. So just be really careful. And also, it seem to be thick. Take quite a while for softer to stick it on to the plastic
