Gunkanjima

I am in the middle of planning my trip to Japan in April-May 2016. As I have interest to see Gunkanjima, I understand that there are a number of companies offering its tour boat services at Nagasaki Port Ferry Terminal.

If you have ever been there, please kindly let me know which one I should use for that particular services.

I used Gunkanjima concierge. We couldn't land on the island as the weather was quite terrible, strong waves and raining. They were very well prepared with raincoats, games etc for us and very apologetic about the weather conditions.

Very interesting, because i am the only non-japanese in the boat, so they actually arranged one english guide just for me to explain the island and bring me around

Cool. I am very thankful for these pointers. I have good idea who I should approach when I am there at Nagasaki Ferry Port Terminal next year.

If you have any more suggestions other than the ones already mentioned, I will be glad to take note of yours for better experience.

I will be in nagasaki in feb next year as well. Was wondering if the tickets need to be book in advance or i can just buy it over the counter.
