Eh..your last sentence doesn't gel. The car already clearing the yellow box when the motorcyclist buang. Moreover the road the car is entering is also clear to proceed.

Anyway, the motor went fast.. should have slowed down when the cars on his right already stopped.

Ya la the car clearing the yellow box did not make sure all 3 lane is clear and he drive in liao. He see lane 1 and 2 clear only he obviously didn't bother to check lane 3

The turning car need to 100%. Not 50%. Not 70%. Not 90%. But 100% sure all 3 lane is safe to turn BEFORE he turn.

And not turn lane 1 and 2 then straight away think 1 2 clear liao 3 sure no problem la brothaaaaaa.

The motorcyclist going straight only need to be sure that infront of him is clear and he can proceed and he did.

The driver turning need to check all 3 lane is clear before he turn which he didn't

Slowing down when his lane is clear and empty.

You later go out find a lane infront of you is totally empty but with car behind. Then you suddenly slow down and see if the car behind you will horn at you a not. Or maybe if you suay enough the car behind will crash into yours when you suddenly slow down when infront of you is totally empty

The motor ride so fast into a yellow box with discretion turn. He should have slowed down coming to a junction even though he has right of way. The car already inch out and he was half or more than half pass the motor and was about to pick up speed then bang. By right in this case the motor should give way since the car more than half past liaos.

LOL u obviously not driver. It's a yellow box and the cars have already stopped, meaning they are giving way to cars turning either from left or right. That's the purpose of a yellow box, Incase you dunno.

So it's 100% motorcyclist fault for not stopping before yellow box when the cars have already stopped.

but this situation a bit iffy...no?

the onus is the car, who is turning, to check clear of traffic before moving off.
if cannot see for sure then do not execute.

No no no no

This thinking is why accident is so rampant in Singapore

You need to make sure all 3 lane is safe to turn then you turn

And not lane 1 2 is safe 3 you not sure you just turn and then clear 1 2 already suddenly got this mindset "hell yeah now i half way liao i the biggest G here lane 3 like it or not MUST brake and let me pass"

No this is very very irresponsible and dangerous driving mentality

This is too common to see riders speeding and pay no heed to defensive riding and their own welfare. Too bad and he deserves it.

Both parties acted like entitled, so accident happened.
Then we turn over judgement to physics, who is an absolutely inpartial judge. Hey it could have been a speeding tipper truck too. Physics is fair.

You know in practice it is impossible to check all 3 lanes. the driver should have inched out slowly in the absence of full LOS to give time for an approaching vehicle to use their horn, or dodge.
Approaching vehicles in the first place need to play their part and slow down when approaching a box like that.

Laws are made with a perfect world, perfect subject, xray vision in mind. The real world is a bit muddier.

User testing issue and poor project management.

Blame it on tech and system.

I clap for you ..
You clap for what?

You see the board show nothing, you dare to just chiong out without even turning your head to check for oncoming traffic?

Facts remain as facts; the trial got canked and never made to the light of day.

Nothing you can argue against.

Continuous improvement is to find the right solution to resolve a problem.

Not stopping because the first solution.trial failed.

I still want to clap for you..

There were times when driving past, and the board shows nothing.

And just when reaching the sliproad entry point, the oncoming cars zip past.

You can add more tech, but it will still only be 99.99% good.

Any electronic nonsense or IT vendor build any product, SLA will at most give you 99.99% uptime, at a heavy support package premium...

And it will be that 0.01% or 0.1% failure we will read about in the news when that crash happens.

You can try go open your own IT solutions business and see for yourself.

Maybe then you will understand, otherwise you have to clap non-stop for the rest of your life.

Understandable.

Anger, fear and then denial are part of the change management...
