wah...think i'm slow ....didn't know 神爺 was a triad big shot (one of 14k's big bosses) in real life.

he was a prison warden. then join police then join triad. respected figure in both black and white.

during his stint as a warden officer, he took care of those triad bosses and he gained their respect. he was rumoured to b tough but fair on them. hence when he joined the triad, the bosses all took care of him and he raised very fast.

after e big corruption sweep in HK, he shifted his triad business to film making.

and also, any stars tht got into trouble w triads, he will be there to help settle.

The Royal HK Police was the most corrupted police force in e world during the 60s 70s. they controlled everything. Dramas n movies like Lee Rock, Chasing Dragon were made to depict the HK at tht time period. everyone wants to make enough money b4 97.
