This is a drama show not a freaking documentary. It's common for china to showcase the rednecks as baddies just like how hollywood always showcases asians as baddies too. Don't watch if you are unable to take such plot and continue to scuk your amdk' master dick.

I explained earlier ... those china web platforms pay license for china costume drama ... easily in the 10-20 million sing dollars range .... multi platform buy the license = tens of million
second layer are TV station broadcasts .... another tens of million

total can reach 50-100million to recover their production cost + profit
it can cost around 200k to 400k (sing dollars not reminbi) to film each episode of those epic costume drama 40minute


this OCTB is low budget production .... as long the china web platforms can fork out 10mllion total I think they won't lose money
youtube is just additional small revenue beyond the china market

some bad points are the various big heads died because didn't bring underlings along .... died because go dangerous showdown alone .... in order to wrap up the subplot and move forward

ATB xiaoyu went from side character into useless character after the breakup crying scene when the mother&son showed up ..... her character stopped developing and she became a child nanny + dinner cook !
what a waste ...

final boss fight is bad ... copy batman joker style

the old cheung cut wire ..... he could go to side of the abandoned building by the rocky hill and cut the wire himself ... the car scene is redundant and for drama effect only

why UK deny george is their guy ? so he is CIA instead ?
his henchmen calefare look more like latino from south america instead of europeans
