I still expect it to be crowded. As more ppl might choose tis option in fear of meeting a jam on d causeway.

Also depends on d pricing. Will it be independent like ktm or will link to mrt system? If it's gonna be too ex will put some price conscious ppl off from taking it too.

Daily average of 300k people clearing customs and a capacity of 10k per hour. If constantly clear 10k per hour the balance 60k still need to use bikes n cars. Still jam.
Cannot be the current customs cannot clear the 60k right?

Probably relieve causeway traffic by 20-40% max depending on the train frequency.

It's supposed to combine with high speed rail to go kl from sinkeeland in 2hr or less .

Getting ready to laugh at 10k kumgongs queuing 2hrs to clear custom

Now all face/qr clearance. Very fast , only boomers use manual counter . The real jam is at the car traffic.

Bus and lorries have express lane . Problem is some sinkee car like to cut this express lane .

your calculation is not correct.

the bulk of 300k ppl will be crossing during peak hours 7am - 10am and reverse direction 5pm - 8pm.

of the 6 peak hours, only able to handle 60k human flow.

so, 240k of remaining ppl still have to travel during off peak hours or other mode of transportation.

so, i don't see it can solve the daily jam problem.

just comparing w our MRT system which handle 3.2mil passengers daily, it need bigger capacity & more frequent trips to accommodate the flow at JB - Woodland.

it's very obvious it is undersized due to Msia budget constraint

It doesn't really solve jam cause by most motorists /lorries .
It however can reduce jam cause peasants using buses .

RTS alone without high speed rail to kl isn't good enough to convince most sinkee car owners to ditch their cars to travel to jb .

Hence effectiveness to reduce traffic jam is very limited .
Even 20-40% imo is pretty optimistic

Elephant in the room huh?

I reckon cost btw 5-10 sgd bucks given current inflation .

Maybe got sell premium mth pass or something for workers .

Personally I will take it in only peak hours for most value , probably stick to bus and save the price difference for a meal in jb .

Tis is wat I'm thinking too. Becos they gotta make back d cost of tis project.

C whether will like ktm also. But funny thing is, jb come is 5rm, sg go take ktm is 5sgd😂

I'll also stick to bus even if rts is completed. Just hope buses come sooner Oni. Going into jb it's d waiting n queuing up for buses tat takes up d most time Oni.

There still JHK that need the bike… those work at places no MRT connectivity…

the train build not targeted at them… is those taking bus or pirate taxi… plus future workers that working place near train stations …

so it still be jam.

the problem was nvr sg side... its always msia side super jamsai.

their egate only can be used by locals/paying premium. And its not always up.
Kastam officer take own sweet time beo n chop.

but if they use the railroad system where everything settled at one side.. i tink really can go jb shop n back as if its going to a nearby mall.
