What is ‘Housing by the Woods’?

The “Housing by the Woods” precinct is part of a larger plan to transform Woodlands into a vibrant regional hub.

PM Wong said that Woodlands is getting a huge makeover to become a proper, modern regional hub. He also mentioned they’re making the Woodlands Checkpoint a whopping five times bigger, and that the new RTS train link to Johor Bahru is due to open in 2026.

More flexible business spaces are going up right by the RTS station in Woodlands North, and they’re expected to be a mix of everything, including shops and places to grab a bite.

Scrap the Jurong Lake district and make Woodlands second CBD, West side only suitable for workers dormitories and factories, the second CBD in the West talk for 10 years and nothing even remote has been done.

Woodlands has way more potential.
