You should not be using a debit card when there's a better alternatives.agree with your perspective on taking precaution, but the whole point of linkage and having a main account is ease of spending on Grab without having to top up the wallet.
However to each their own, and everyone could take measures they deem appropriate as it helps with raising risk awareness
HiWah, they are smart to come up with this mechanism.
To optimise (from our perspective), those that exceed the $75K, should not withdraw any single cents from the pocket, cos the entire full amount (including the amount more than $75K) earns 3.48% pa. Is my understanding correct?
Thanks!
it really depends on your use case, since one of the balance is transferable and the credit card top up isn't. For all spend I'll highly recommend the UOB Amex card for grab wallet. You should not be using a debit card when there's a better alternatives.
Linking grab to your bank acct essentially makes it a debit card.
No effect, it's daily interest. What the other post was referring to was, if you transfer the interest out you can't top it back up due to 75k cap and hence those interest earned won't be compoundedHi
Just checking if I do not have 75k and if I moved in and out the money, how is the effect on the interest?
You should always try to look for alternatives to payment solutions that directly takes money from your bank acctit really depends on your use case, since one of the balance is transferable and the credit card top up isn't. For all spend I'll highly recommend the UOB Amex card for grab wallet.
In that case you just use the account as per normal. No need to concern about the compounding effect. Anyway this is currently the highest interest zero criteria savings account. Compounding effect is +0.06% at max.Hi

Well, you still need to eat right ? Unless you say you won't order using Grab because cheaper options without Grab.Hi guys, for the Grab Reward, I just read the T&C, it says that the reward is on a first come first serve basis, how do we know that we will qualify?
Cos if I order a meal using Grab, on average it costs $10. For the 5k points, I need to spend $100 on it. If I qualify then its good, but what if I don't?
Having said that, not everyone has access to credit. Specifically the student population and the retiree popliation. You should always try to look for alternatives to payment solutions that directly takes money from your bank acct
That's y you delink and manually topup from bank to walletHaving said that, not everyone has access to credit. Specifically the student population and the retiree popliation.
To each their own though, it's similar to how Paylah is set up. The user has the choice. That's y you delink and manually topup from bank to wallet
Paylah diff. You can set daily limit for paylah. To each their own though, it's similar to how Paylah is set up. The user has the choice.
