Randomised cashback doesn't look promising. GXS should do flat rate cashback. Even at 1%, 1.5% or 2%, at least there's certainty.

I believe it is on purpose. They may want to do some market survey on each card holder spending pattern in order to later offer relevant products to them ? By making it random it encourage the card holder to spend especially for those with a gambling mindset like typical Toto 4D faithful investor ? $10 for a chance is quite a low barrier to fulfill but I was hoping it is $5 though.

Let's say I make a foreign currency purchase with the GXS debit card. I know I will be charged 1% MasterCard conversion fee + 1.5% GXS admin fee.

Assuming the exchange rate stays constant from purchase time to successful refund time, if I cancel the purchase, will both the MasterCard conversion fee and GXS admin fee be refunded?

I contacted GXS customer service, but their response was not clear. Thanks!

Typically for a normal bank card they don't refund it back.

For those with the card, can the GXS debit card be card be enabled or disabled by user? Can we set the spending limit for the card?

My best testing is 41c and 21c for $10 each but cannot beat the guaranteed I can get with credit cards at 5% and 3%

So I stop using unless I have anything to pay which dun earn credit card rewards!

I'll use only when there's rewards boost 😂
Yes as long as no need pay any annual fee just keep. I choose the Nebula color. The other color is black and white don't like as got many cards of black and white color already.

The debit card appeared for my mum and I on Saturday (2023/11/18). We were not notified. This likely is the public launch.

Had the same issue on my Redmi. Try tapping on the center of the card, hold and pull down. I had to pull down multiple times from different positions before the card selection page appeared. Incredibly buggy.

Card can be frozen / unfrozen, and daily spend limit can be adjusted. Once you've activated the physical card, you can also disable / enable overseas use.
