An update is overdue. I'll do it over the next few days, since I'm on leave from NS for a while.

Thanks for contributing guys.

If the person was indeed a beginner, I'd much prefer that he start with Strong Lifts or Starting Strength. As stated under the foundation category in page 1.

Reason being, building a base with the most important lifts, together with a decent strength platform allows for a better overall development.

You want to be strong, not just look strong.

Is the beginner routine good? Personally, I feel it's not.

Tnation has some awesome articles lately. Good read for those with a thirst for improvement. Ignore the occasional supplement advertisement, hahaha.

I'll also post an update by Wednesday (if I have the time) about some programs and hopefully some mobility work.

Guys, if my school only have smith for squats rack, would replacing squats with lunges and bulgarian split works fine as well?
OHP replaced with overhead presses.

you make it sound like indigo actually works...

well, i've never tried it, i wont know.

besides, diff supplements work for diff ppl, just becos indigo doesnt work/help u, doesnt necessarily mean it wont be a boost for someone else.

also, a good deal of them are on many supplements, what i did was just to list some examples that seem popular?

anyway, add some pull-up programs?

i think HnF may get some traffic from ppl looking to pass their IPPT, so these kind of programs may be more relevant for them?

For SL5x5, can I use the normal barbells instead of using olympic barbells?
for eg, using a 20kg barbells instead of 20kg olympic barbell

Sure, why not? The static lifts used in SL5x5 don't technically require an Oly bar with spinning ends. It would however be hard to say, squat with a non-Oly bar as the rack doesn't usually fit one properly.
