H220-X Cracked Window

Was cleaning out my rig today and this caught my eye.

Should this be a major concern? I do not see any signs of any leak so far, I am not even sure how long those cracks have been there.

If can RMA, go RMA. Not worth the risk to leave the crack there.

Swiftech got like serious leaking issues.

Look very thin, around 3mm in thickness?

With the bleed hole so close to the edge/corner, I'm surprised if it won't crack.

Agree, some models I see(most likely more recent ones than what I have) no longer have the bleed holes, I guess it really was a problem that they had to ditch the bleed hole altogether

I usually glued another 3mm thick ring to reinforce the acrylic at the bleeding hole or prevent crack due to material fatigue.

Reinforcing it would only do so much, better RMA ASAP, if can sell it off and then get a different cooler, RMA pumps vibrate quite a bit, out of my comfort zone. AIO, stick to corsair<< still the safest and least likely to leak if used correctly in my opinion.

Used to support swiftech a lot in the past for custom water loops as they offer easy expansion. However due to overwhelming cases of their AIO leaking (even on stock AIO without expansion) have fully moved on and avoided that brand altogether. By overwhelming I meant by 7 out of 10 people, usually occurring 6-9 months onwards from setup date.

Swiftech replied very fast though for RMA cases, usually waited 1-2 weeks before unit is replaced, customer service is still a good experience though product quality can be improved

I was told by TD that they dont have any stock of the H220-X, they offer me an ID Cooling 240L instead which I politely declined. I dont think it will come close to H220-x cooling ability plus it wont fit my case.

I have proposed that they source me a replacement window instead and I will drain my loop and replace it myself. Waiting for their feedback.

I cut the ring from acrylic sheet using my laser engraving machine.

Is that 1/8" or 1/4" NPT plug? I can cut and post it to you FOC, the material cost near to nothing using left over which will be going to the thrash sooner or later. You need acrylic glue to glue it and leave it there for 24 hours to fully cure the matting surface. Wash them oil free using bowl washing detergent before you glue them, don't use IPA to clean the matting surface, IPA will cause hairline cracks on the acrylic which will result in catastrophic failure under pressure.
