Had a 7 year old iMac...

No power? Any signs of life at all?(lights/noises made by the imac)
If booting to gray screen, there's still hope.
If just the power cord is spoilt, you can buy 1 very cheap, it's a universal adaptor.
Anything else that involves the iMac hardware may be expensive to fix.
