Really dependent on individuals and age. It's possible for someone to lose very aggressively in 20s or 30s and somewhat stabilize in 40s, or just suddenly start losing hair noticeably at 40s while during 20s zero signs of hair loss. But we can more or less tell the pattern of our hair loss based on our father's hair.

Diet no use, maybe at most stall the loss, but eventually will lose them due to hormones attacking the follicles. Only way to fight the hair loss is to just let them drop and then replace them with DHT resistant hair which are located at the back of our head.
