Hi guys

I am intending to stay over in Hakone for one night in Feb 2018 with my hubby and I'm looking for recommendations of ryokans.

I have looked at the Ichinoyu chains and I agree the price is pretty good and the private outdoor onsen looks good but the dinner is mass dining style which I don't like.

Can someone help?

My requirements:
- Private outdoor onsen (like Ichinoyu Honkan)
- Kaiseki dinner in our own rooms (must be yummy! :s13:)

My budget is below $500 sgd for 2 pax for 1 night. Doable?

I'm intending to the do the Hakone circuit, then head to Ryokan, then next day head to Gotemba for shopping before going back to Shinjuku.

Thanks!

Gotemba closed at 4pm so be early if you planning to go for 1 day shopping. I feel that mass hall dinner is ok for me but up to individual preference. You can try email the hotel - whether they provide service of sending dinner to your room. IMHO - unless I staying in large suit, dinner in room not so nice.

I saw from the website that Gotemba closes at 7pm/8pm?

Mar.-Nov. 10:00AM-8:00PM
Dec.-Feb. 10:00AM-7:00PM

Anyway, I intend to go there first thing in the morning after checking out from Ryokan, so should be fine I guess.

Never tried in room dining before ma, so thought of trying.
