Hakone Question

Hey guys, i've got a couple of question regarding Hakone.

Narita (NEX) > Shinjuku (Odakyu Romancecar) > Hakone Yumoto Station, is this the best way to reach Hakone w/o JR pass from Narita?

If i were to purchase the Hakone Freepass over at Shinjuku stn, can i use it on Odakyu trains to Hakone? or do I still have to reserve online?

Yes, beside JR, Odakyu is another option to Hakone.
If you buy Hakone Free pass, you can take Odakyu normal train. But if you want to take romance car, then you need to pay extra charge to your hakone free pass.
