Hi all, just wanted to know if I were to use a blackberry microusb charger on my htc phone, will there be any side effects? I heard about having a charger with the same voltage and higher amphere will not have any effects as the phone will only draw what it needs. But what if the charger has same voltage but lower amphere? Read online but many just roughly indicated it might damage the battery life and slower charging. Is the damaging of battery life true?

No it does not affect your battrey if it of a lower amphere, that is what happens when you charge thru a USB port from a computer anyway in most of the case it only supply 0.5~0.9A. Its only USB 3.0 that support up to 5A for the port but limited to drawing 1.5A in Charging mode(Charge only,Data Tranmission disabled.)

in anyway,I am moving this to a more appropriate forum.

5v 1a vs 5v 2a.. = 5w vs 10w

Don't worry, the amphere doesn't kill the phone. its the voltage that kills it. If you supply a 10v to ur phone.. it can fry..

And last time i was reading up, the slower the charging, the longer your battery lives.. I dunno how true is that but if u want to know more, u can google i guess.
