1) I think they lock the gate just in case illegal immigrant come into SG from there. there are signs that wrote report if you see illegal boats

honestly some people have entitlement mentality syndrome they think it will never happen to them and the workers will wait for them to come out late and then close the gate they think they ar king and queen!

i seen this many many times when i took cruise where couple take their own sweet time come back to the ship and saw the ship already about to leave the ship even waited for 30 min to wait for them. when they come many on board wave bye bye at the couple!

All visitors should be registered for entry and exit and this problem won’t happen. Anyway, obviously the staff concerned is doing minimum so long is following sop will be safe.

Last Friday (13 Aug), Pasir Ris NPC posted on Facebook about a couple who was trapped on Coney Island. Though the couple wanted to have an enjoyable day in nature, unfortunately, they got lost as night fell.

By the time they found the entrance, the gate was already locked. The couple had to make a distress call to Pasir Ris NPC for assistance.

Why never do this?
