Dear all,

It has been a while I last had a mooncake.

Confidence for the future. More good years ahead... Let us take Singapore forward together.
Thank you.

Even those paper lanterns aren’t cheap
Think ok bah, compare to current day prices, they are quite cheap. Cannot compare to last time. Maybe cause of the cheap mass production options from CN.

Even the plastic ones which are technically battery operated moving toy (with light and sound) seems cheap by today 'toy' standard. The only difference is the extra removable string and rod attached to make it look like a lantern.

Not cheap hor
Compare to last time of course not. Think last time few cents for a paper lantern only.

But nowadays the paper one more complex. The plastic one basically are toys. If buy such from legit toy store think at least tens of dollar bah. But cheap toy less than 10 can get many.

Used to go to the Chinese/Japanese Gardens for the Mid Autumn Festival light-ups. Was either for free or very affordable entry tickets. Not sure if there is still such an event these days.

Think neighbourhood RC also got organise and celebrate such event. Ok bah, the more event and festive they celebrate, the more involved people feel they are. Even if just on surface. Can feel the presence more nowadays, as festive season they tend gift some stuff to people, be it from RC, CC or charity. Last time like little or not much of such.
