Have heard that hp will auto shutdown, does heat pad help to keep it alive?

Depending on phone models. New phone most likely last longer. IPhones usually cannot take cold weather. Samsung can.. Not sure of Chinese phones. Bring portable charger to charge your dying phone.

Tips: attached a heatpack to your handphone. It will keep it alive for a few hours.

Personally, a standalone camera with decent weather proofing should be just fine albeit shorter battery life (I use Sony A6000 with spare battery).

Nothing much in Harbin if you go in Nov/Dec. At most sofia church, the shopping street and aquarium at sun island.

The main attraction is the ice & snow festival that start in Jan.
