Harbin during CNY period

Hi guys, thinking of going harbin during the cny period. May i know if the shops are open around this time?

Any recommended stay or food to try?

Did a search in agoda, seems like there isnt much hotel available or maybe its still too early to book.

Currently scoot pricing is $660 flying on 1st day nite of cny. Not sure if it will drop more later on. For this pricing i can fly to japan too on delta or sia.

Scoot is the only airline that flies direct to Harbin, so the price is on the high side. You can also transit at other major Chinese cities, might be cheaper.

I was lucky to pay $250/pax round trip w luggage on scoot. Thanks scoot for flying direct.

U can stay on The Central street, I paid ibis about $70/night. There r cheaper places to stay.

any reasons for that? are the shops operating in harbin?

yes, it's not a good choice go to China in CNY period, almost service are stop since everyone go back home

Agree. It's better to visit places that do not celebrate CNY eg Bali, Bandung etc.
