Hi,

I have a old DIY PC which have some windows file error and unable to start Windows properly. However I just need the files inside the harddisk, is it accessible if I just buy a portable casing and stick the harddisk drive in and I can access the files?

Any idea? Dont want to waste money on a casing when the OS is not even accessible/corrupted.

If it is accessible if I install it into the harddisk enclosure, any recommendations? I am using a WD Digital Cavier Green 1TB hard disk.

Thanks in advance!

If you got another desktop, plug into sata port to access as secondary drive.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately I am now using laptop, no longer have any desktop to plug into sata as secondary drive.

Guess the only way is to get a hard disk enclosure?
