Harddrive docks

Any reliable brand and model to recommend? I have seen stories of short lifespans measured in weeks as well as harddrives getting fried when plugged in. Prefer to be bought with local warranty.

If one frequently plug in/out HDD, the sata connector is not going to last irrespective of brand. Then there is slimmer 3.5" HDD likely to stress the sata connector too.

Actually, I'm thinking of using the dock with standard size 3.5 drives for backing up purposes. Something like one dock and three different drives for each set of data.
