hi guys? i'm just looking to buy a few pc parts from SLS. Namely mobo, ram and cpu. but after looking at the price lists, I am kind of confused regarding their prices.

why is it that tradepac has lower prices that pcthemes for:
-asrock b85 killer + i5-4460
-g.skill ripjawx 2x4G

is pcthemes charging more because they provide better service? i have a feeling that i am missing something :O later tradepac ask me for 1k warranty or smth.

thanks!

Cash only price possibly? These things are pretty common so cheapest way is buy from various shops and then ownself assembly.

If I'm not wrong, some users here mentioned that the TradePac's mobo/cpu combo price only applies for buying the whole set of pc (including casing, psu, etc etc). Maybe it doesn't apply for all buyers, so try to negotiate with the TradePac staff.

Nope. There is nothing wrong with their price list. And they are the cheapest in terms of mobo + cpu. They are not as jialut as mobile air. So plaease do not bring mobile sellers into pc hardware scene. Those guys are just spoiling the image of sls as a whole.

However to get thier mobo + cpu list pricing you will need to buy a entire or partial rig. Of cause if you are old timer there, you will get the listed pricing. Without the need to add addtional $15-30 more.

Of cause you can talk things out with them. You dont go in and ask them the extra cost. Just say you want the mobo and cpu only. If they can give you listed pricig, just buy and f off. If they cant give you listed pricing try talking to them they will let you off.

As for b85 killer. There is very little b85 boards left on their shelves. Including other stores. Can try other brands instead such as Asus gamer pro. Alternatively can get h97 instead.

H97 chipset is just $8-10 away from b85. Newer and may support future broadwell chip. Msi h97 gaming 3.

The price in the price list can only be used as a guide. Best way to find the actual price is still to ask them and double confirm. Some store list the bundle price....some list the individual price. From years of shopping there I've learnt to grab and go. Not worth my time running from store to store over $5-$10 difference.

H97 iirc asrock has a h97 fatality performance.

Go to the shop and ask first. If there is still stocks for b85 then good for you. Check out first.
