It would have been much worse if the real attack on the token was carried out by real hackers out there.
Unless this is sg in the 60s, 70s, where sinkies forms the majority. How many tiong spies are these in sg and these tokens are distributed to them where they reverse engineer it.
The gov don't even reveal who is behind the Singhealth hack. You trust the gov to be fully accountable. I don't.

this news let me remember got 1 edmwer open thread teaches others how to cheat garment money to support people job lost due to covid in the early months.....lead to law ministar to instruct mata go investigate.....after this instruction came out in news....suddenly many people who claimed the Money from garment vomit out the money back........lol
sinkies got bad habits.....once discovered to be among the first few to beat the system sure will broadcast to the whole world how clever he/she is.....haolian till get into trouble.....the same applied to the employee or family member of employee working in silver serpent services.....wanna haolian to relatives and friends ownself is very VIP personnel in the garment sector......go and leak out confidential information before official announcement.......in the kena OSA charges.....

i dont give a **** about using tracetogether or not using tracetogether. my beef was with the TS knowingly inducing others to commit a crime while passing it off as satire.
satire itself is not against the law. Those who feel severely affected by satire should do some serious self reflection and ask themselves, why do they feel so insecure about their own invention? Could it be that they know that they could had done better but didn't?
As far as i know, there is no reports on anyone modding the device based on the information gained from the thread. Everyone who participated in that thread clearly know about the OB markers. The legal implications was also discussed in the thread in a civilised manner.
The purpose is to see if it will make some GovTechie uncomfortable. It seems to be that it has.
This one has clearly crossed the line. The offenders gain monetary benefit from the loophole. There is nothing to charged you if you do not have any gain from exposing loophole. But if you act on it, you are giving them a free pass to charge you.
Follow SAF rule, do whatever you want, just don't get caught.

No need me to assume. Singhealth hack is a setup is one that has multi layers of defense, yet it can be hacked. What defense mechanism does the token has? It's already proven.
I consider him more of a whistle blower than an jnstigator instigating people to hypass. Unless it was assured to the public that the loopholes are being fixed by collecting back the tokens and updating the codes. Despite the publicity, none is being done. If this had been reported silently, most likely it would hzve been swept under the carpet.
Whose fault is it when the tokens are rolled out with loopholes? You don't care about your privacy doesn't mean others don't. Even if anyone attempted to turn it off, he has a case to fight for, because the token isn't secure and he has the right to protect and minimise his exposure..
For those who had already collected their tokens, did they sign any forms indicating thy consented to have their data collected. Maybe after those gov people reading this, magically this form will appear in the next token collection.

The TS also replied that its well within his rights to satirize the issue. im just puzzled over why he would need to post it as a "lifehack" and then start putting disclaimers.
he claims to have data privacy as the foremost concern, but evidently, his very first post on his thread had nothing to do data privacy or pointing out the technical flaws of the program. simple 5 lines on how to tamper with the token.

I think he was just stating for a fact that the tokens can be evaded in such a way. Maybe the way he phrased it made it seem like it was an encouragement to some but I still think it's more of just facts presented to us. The author did not talk about his opinions on this issue nor did he explicitly encourage everyone to follow the steps. He merely pointed out that anyone could evade the tokens by following those 5 steps.
