Now, the skylake just arrived in SG a few months or weeks ago. Will the Haswell-E series price will be reduce , cheaper by a bit?

No ... it doesn't get cheaper
You can see ivy bridge and haswell .... the price is almost the same for the entire timeline of availability

10 years ago, maybe. Nowadays forget it. :s22:

You might get cheaper should the distros wanna clear their old mobo stocks. Provided you getting the chip with mobo.

Actually from day 1 that I have seen this thread, I think it is time to tell you that you are not reading up well, and did not research much on what you really need. Neither did you take our advice seriously.

From what I can see, you are confused by Haswell E and Skylake. Note that they are 2 different segments to compare with. Haswell E is not a mainstream CPU and Motherboard. And hence the price differs from Skylake a lot more.

If you read up more, you wont need an i7 be it a 4th gen or 5th gen or even Skylake 6th gen.

For the record, Haswell E is not a 5th gen.

Mainstream CPUs are code name,

Sandy Bridge - 2nd Gen
Ivy Bridge - 3rd Gen
Haswell - 4th Gen
Broadwell - 5th Gen
Skylake - 6th Gen

Look around more and you will know the reason why Broadwell is not widely used here and instead our local market totally skipped 5th gen.

Non mainstream aka Extreme CPUs are those on LGA 2011 socket.

Ivy Bridge E
Haswell E

This are different things and there is no price affected in regards to any of the mainstream CPUs. Not unless it is total obsolete, which will only happen after 3-5 years down the road.

It's not about asking or not asking. It's about asking things that can be googled easily if u actually r interested in it, rather than wait for fellow HWZers to spoonfeed u with answers.

Here, I'm sure fellow HWZers are more than willing to help u with the decision-making process, the 'whys' in justifying certain parts that goes into the rig. The 'hows' and 'whats' and 'where', I think google is more than helpful in that area, fellow HWZers won't wanna waste their time typing out a whole chunk of text to help u (that could have been derived off google search results), only to see u create another thread in a few days' time asking roughly the same questions phrased in a different manner. It's almost signalling to those who bothered to reply to u that u don't even heed their advice at all, and over time it wears out those who have been helping u through.

Yeah, u r right NPNT, Purchased then talk.

On a serious note, we can't wait forever for the perfect technology. Don't get yourself stuck into inaction through indecisiveness. Intel, AMD and Nvidia will always come up with a faster and better product into the future. Even if they can't, they will just rebrand whatever they have and sell them as a new product.

Settle on something and adapt along the way. You need to get started somehow someday. Build your PC soon.

Ok its decided . I wont ask anymore of the silly why, how, what. My plan build budget $1050 minus ssd. Asrock h81m hds+i5 4460 , kingston 8gb , western d.1tb blue, msi gtx 960 2gb armor oc, sf leadex 550w, sharkoon t28/t29. When i save enugh $$. Price are pcthemes. Hopefully no price change over nxt few months. Not into hardcore like oced alot, medium setting multiplay bf3 and bf4, and solo crysis3 medium. If 3 or 4yrs new game, ill add 980ti or titan x (x1).

Btw, ppl still play bf3 and bf4? Or no more they play halo5?
