- buy thai sim card from qoo10. not expensive. strategically book grab car with promo code. you may end up with lots of zero baht rides.
- usually, i'll don't take hotel breakfast and go kim yong market for breakfast, spoilt for choice.
- the usual shopping places, Lee Garden, Centara, Odeon, Central Festival, Big Market (this big market is super stuffy and not worth going imho). i like to go to Big C extra and Tesco Lotus.
- for night market, can go greenway night market or asean night market (use grab and promo code)
- Eat, there are lots of choice. rim rua kratha ron restaurant for bbq seafood/mookata. Thalay Thai for thai tze tzar (the german knuckle deserve a mention), Hong Ki for chinese style tze tzar, Tor Huad Restaurant for chinese food also. the familiar names, Ah Qing Jie for pig innards soup, Chok Dee for dim sum (so-so only i feel), Kan Eng restaurant.
- Bird Next restaurant, quite a number in the vicinity of Lee Garden
- McDonalds pork burger
- if you are a believer, go and do some good and donate money for people who cannot afford coffin (Tang Sia Siang Tng).
- 4d3n, can choose one day go Songkhla. Eat at Sujinda (Samila Beach), or Sirada Restaurant at Ko-Yo
