I'm not talking of simply job hopping but moving from one career to another.

Are you ready and prepare for your 2nd career? If yes, what is it?

At what age you think you'll need your 2nd career?

Mine just started. I chose it. So far no regret. Later years not too sure.

:D
Yeah I am into my 9th career now.

Easier in Canada.
Got many different things to do that SG don't have.
And some make lots of money.
I am actually into my 9th career if count all the businesses I have done as well.
But this one is the best. Very specific. High paying. Low risk high autonomy on my part.

I have two to choose as I age gracefully to be a young senior in the future

1. Cardboard recycling enthusiast
2. Dumpster food and product wastage prevention specialist

Keep moving forward and don’t overthink. If you enjoy what you do, progress will naturally follow.

There are many trades people in western country. Can make a good living. But need to market yourself still.
The business side of things is also important.
I am not a tradesman.

But my work involves traveling all over the city and to the surrounding towns.

I am into my 3rd career already. So far so good. Find it interesting. Digital based so I get to wfh everyday.

Less tiring than going to a office. More free time. So i think i can last. Another 10 more years and I am done. Home free. Retire.

I am happy that you keep thinking that way.
Yes 4th class citizen. It's really very bad here. My life in Canada is horrible one. 😂

Also started about a year or two on my 2nd wing.

Some things one have to recognise is that, any company sure will value younger people one. But what older workers get, is our experience of knowing and experienced things that younger people will never know.
