Using Singtel Fibre here as well. Unable to browse taobao or Tmall. I am able to access like www.taobao.com or www.Tmall.com, however once I try to search something, site crashes.

Using my Android app, I can search for items, however when I try to register an account, the confirmation just doesn't come thru.

I personally think this is a Singtel or SG wide issue.

your issue is normal for singtel users. singtel usually routes china traffic through the US to save cost, which means latency upwards of 380ms with packet loss and sometimes spikes to a few thousand ms. you should try changing yr dns, try to use a vpn or simply change isp

Same thing happen to my rented house's internet (Singtel Fibre 2Gbps Plan)
Most of the China websites we visit (baidu, weibo, 3dm, ali123, taobao, QQ related sites and some other non-popular China-based websites or applications) suddenly cannot be accessed since late March (before Circuit Breaker start)
But no problem with my mobile data network (StarHub). My gf is from China who's studying here, she mostly rely on these websites and services. These days we have to use our smartphone to do USB/hotspot tethering in order to make our online experience "fully functional".
Called Singtel CS hotline once and they only know to ask us to do some basic troubleshooting that we already know this has nothing to do with these network settings or router reboot blah blah blah, but even the technical officer from Singtel also can't help, what can we do?
No choice lo, either use VPN or continue to use our smartphone to tether mobile network on our PCs.
Gonna suggest my house owner to switch ISP...

Strange. SingTel user here and got no issues with the above sites.

I can only guess it might be related to DNS server. Try switching to different DNS servers on your device side to see if that helps, SingTel default, Google DNS or Cloudfare DNS.

And try on-off the ONR. Say OFF the ONR for 15 minutes and then ON.

Hi bro, thanks for the reply
I am using Google DNS, since 5-6 years ago.
I've tried cloudfare, Quad9, OpenDNS and now disabled custom DNS to use Singtel's default DNS but this issue remains.
If my phone connect to my house WiFi, all those apps belong to QQ, weibo, taobao will not work as well and notify me that my phone has no internet, but meanwhile still can browse facebook intagram whatsapp etc.

any way to change DNS on the ONR??

Maybe these China websites host blacklisted my iP address (or some other Singtel IP add)?

Yes looks like certain Singtel IP address got blacklisted.

I believe that you can not change the DNS in the ONR. That is why I suggest you turn OFF the ONR for 15 minutes and then turn it back on, hoping to get a new public IP address from SingTel.

Tell me if this works for you. Download and install Opera browser. Try to visit those "blocked" sites using Opera. Now if it does not work, turn on VPN in Opera. Reload the site. It worked for me.

If just on mobile, can try install the cloudflare 1.1.1.1 app. You can surf about anything.

For home routers, you can change the ISP’s DNS. My ONR is bridged at their host side, so not sure whether unbridged ONR can change or not.

There is still another method..........T * R

I experienced the same issue with Singtel fiber, most of China based applications are not able to access from either handset or laptop via broadband.

Escalated to Singtel cust care everyday from 24th, so far still impact. Tracert shows the package stop somewhere at signet.

Singtel asked to replace ONR, though I don't think that's the cause, I will go and replace, update you result.

can try request for new public ip (different ip range sometimes works for me). connect a different router to the dedicated 1gbps port on the onr or change the mac address of the router.

He has 2Gbps plan and not 1+1Gbps, what do you mean by "dedicated 1Gbps port" since all four ports are equal? Same for Singtel 1Gbps ONR users.

ONR users also can not easily change DNS servers. This is a major annoyance with SingTel ONR or other SingTel free routes (AC Plus, AC Elite, SingTel "Mesh" Router, etc).

For Huawei ONR users I believe it is possible by logging in with the default password and change, as reported by the Huawei ONR thread.

Whizcomms seems to open this function for their ONR users as per the user guide.

Probably the way to go is like what you say, to request SingTel to change the IP address, better change the IP segment.

Hello Xiaofan,

After I replaced ONR, issue solved.

I believe the previous IP was blocked, new ONR has new IP, so all applications and website go through.

For your information.

Great. Thanks for the updates. This is more in line with my hypothesis that certain IP addresses are blocked.

Interesting that SingTel support uses such a brutal force solution. :D They should try assigning a new IP address to you to see if that sorts out the issue.
