why the heck are they so disgusting

nowadays i go hawker centre i try to avoid taking trays because of how disgusting they are... dirty, mouldy, and smelly

i see the trays in hawker centre i really no appetite le

are these trays ever cleaned at all...

Tend don't eat out. Ta-bao if can. Impression in quite some perhaps, in the past if it bad with cleaners, now its worse when without.

Most of them are warped after usage. The middle part curved up, carry food/drinks will slide out one knn.

Totally agree on this.

NEA should view this is a high prority health and hygiene issue, step up and do something about it.

Most overseas tourists also visit our hawker centres and imagine what kind of impression they must have on our country when using those dirty trays.

Just dun take the easy way out and ask diners to wash and clean dry the tray after that.

never ever put utensils on the tray

I see many hawker food youtube done by angmo, all put utensils on tray one.

The utensils themselves are no where cleaner.

Often have food bits like dried rice, dried zhup, dried veges, oil stains etc

Also don’t know which bugger put the spoon into mouth and garm after that slowly pull out

Then the cleaning vendor as usual never wash properly

Put the utensils back into the stall

Seriously I stopped going to hawker for YEARS

Some food courts the tables are also smelly and filthy. The cleaners are only at the tray return points to move the dirty dishes to the cleaning area. They don't wipe the tables at all and expect customers to do it.

Case in point is Parkway Parade's food court.

hawker centre trays have more bacteria/viruses than the rubbish dump.
CNA talking point should do a swab test and send to lab for analysis. Steven Chia korkor do us a favour!

I rather they don’t wipe!!!

I always spray alcohol and wipe myself

Then I see them approaching with their magic rag I tell them no thanks.

They just spread the stain all around the table evenly with the rag.
