That for sure, my friend who bought a 4rm unit just two blocks away from me paid $60 for S&CC charges. Mine was $80-90 for a 4rm unit.

I saw some HDB blocks at Bedok somewhere but for the ground floor lift lobbies only. Need pin or RFID tag to access

I rem Bedok South Blk 70+ used to have their staircase gate up. Need to use access card to tap then can open gate to access stairway.

As for lift access, need to tap the access card then lift will come down to the ground floor when button is pressed. For visitor, need to enter the floor and unit number to call the house owner so that they can get the lift to descend to the ground floor via their phone.

The other way is to wait for other block resident to access the lift together via their access card.

But now all these functions had been disabled liao, ppl can access these blocks as per normal

My late granduncle’s flat in SBW also had similar design. Demolished liao.

Easy solution for everyone is to have cctv everywhere.

Ownership is with police and if NEA, HDB, Town Council etc wants to view in order to deal with complaints/ reports they need to get the necessary permission.

Everything gvgt - littering, bird feeding, smoking, peeing, never clear pets' poo, neighbour disputes/ disturbances, suspected illegal sub-letting/ exceeding of permitted number of tenants, dripping laundry, common area clutter, ah long, loitering, fights, other crimes.

Report via app and lock in the time, and the relevant authorities can access the cctv at the right timing and zhun zhun go after the culprits.

A few such high profile cases and crimes/ offences/ unneighbourly behaviour will jitao drop.
