HDD current pending sector

Drive is Western Digital Caviar Green 1.5TB

1. current pending sector count keep increasing when drive is being accessed
2. after full format current pending sector count on one partition decrease a bit
3. try copying files to that partition, at first the transfer rate was normal (70MB/s) after few sec , transfer rate become near zero
4. WD diagnostic tool - fail short (Status code = 07 (Failed read test element), Failure Checkpoint = 109 (Unknown Test) SMART self-test did not complete on drive 1!) and long self test (too many bad sectors)

1. How to shift pending sector to reallocated sector? - chkdsk /r or full format cannot
2. Anyone experience same problem with current WD EZRZ drive? - cos may want to buy WD blue, but scared same problem may arise

Your HDD is as good as dead, send for RMA if it's still within warranty period.

If no more warranty then buy a new HDD.

1. Your drive is dead, RMA ASAP if still under warranty. forget about anything else.
2. No one can g'tee anything

This rma drive used for one month only. Before this, rma twice already. Each time use for few data transfer.

Get Toshiba 7200rpm HDD to move forward. Sell your WD Green when back from RMA.
