The most straight-forward way is to clone your existing HDD to the new HDD using DiscWizard. This will make an exact copy of your old HDD.

If your existing HDD has bad sectors or is otherwise corrupted, a fresh install of Win 7 on the new HDD is advised. You can then reinstall your programs and copy over the data.

Instead of doing a migration, you should install Win OS on new hard disk and then connect old drive as secondary drive to copy data out. Your current hard disk status renders all utilities ineffective.

If your current HDD has errors, cloning either does not work, or takes a very very long time retrying that it's not feasible.

Hi all.

Thanks for your replies. I can never do a complete scan on my hdd. It's weird. Amd every update hangs my system. I've tried deleting my auto update amd reinstalling it, removed spywares amd ran updated antivirus. Nothing works. System hangs occasionally and sometimes it doesn't even boot up. I've been troubleshooting for months. Have anyone experienced similar issues? Well my hdd's about 3 years old, so i figured life spans Prolly up.

It is time for your HDD to rest in peace.
