[HDD] question on hard disk noise

Is it normal for the hdd to make constant tick noises every two seconds when a anti virus scan is being run on the hdd?

This only happens when running Scans with HDtune and avira.
Normal usage doesn't generate any of the noise at all.

WD Black is noisy, well known characteristic.
If HDTune scan is fine and SMART status healthy, nothing to worry.

Unless you can't tahan the noise, sell away and get Toshiba.

May happen because of reallocated sector , nothing to worry yet.
