Run Speccy today to test. Found the HDD on my laptop to report a lot of errors. Particularly alarming is Reported Uncorrectable Errors showing more than 12 billions! But I never have problem with this laptop or HDD, no strange sound or file errors before. Anyone else have similar issue, should I panic?

...should I panic?

Depending on how important your data is to you... and whether you can afford to risk that this might be a false alarm.

For me, given how cheap hdds/ssds are these days, at the first sign of trouble, quickly backup (if you don't already have regular backups), mai tu liao. When got time get a new drive and migrate or clean install. Even if false alarm, it forced you to do a backup if you didn't have one. If not false alarm, you saved your ass.

Thanks to all for the advise. I've downloaded CrystalDiskInfo and test out. It seem most value are in the WORST catagory. This is my laptop system disk. May need to backup my data and plan for migration.

Thanks all.

Since my current is normal SATA HDD, can I change to a SSD or a hybrid drive? My system is HP Envy 15 with Core i7 processor, 2 year old.

all current values far away from thresholds

=> your drive is fine according to SMART.

Nonetheless, always have a backup of data that u cannot afford to lose.
