Hi I have an issue with my HDMI. From rig to monitor using HDMI cable there is "no video input". I am not using any dedicated graphic card just purely the integrated graphic card. Whole rig itself is 3 years old liao so definitely is not user issue.

Replaced with VGA cable instead of HDMI and there is video input but the texts looks fuzzy etc since VGA is using analogue instead of digital signal.

My motherboard has only 1 HDMI and 1 VGA port while monitor has 2HDMI and 1 VGA port. Tried using both ports on monitor and HDMI still doesn't work.

On my motherboard back panel there is a red light next to the HDMI port.

Question is how do I get HDMI to work again since my motherboard has only 1 HDMI port and there is a red light next to it already meaning it is gonna uplorry soon.

Motherboard is Asus P8H77-I and CPU is i5 3570K.

Thanks

There are 3 possibilities:
1. HDMI cable faulty, try another HDMI cable, can get one less than $10 at SLS
2. HDMI port/circuitry in monitor faulty, can check using laptop with HDMI port
3. motherboard HDMI port faulty

According to asus website, you must use this latest driver version

Intel Graphics Accelerator Driver V9.17.10.2884 for Windows Win7 64bit & Win8 64bit---(WHQL).
File Size 253.12

Huh? Is the red light really representative of the status of the HDMI port?

when i DIY my PC, i was not able to output to my TV through HDMI as well. it was able to to output video through DVI port.

i then searched online for solution, and managed to solve it by reseating the CPU chip.

are you sure your's is a vga and not a dvi port?
