Apparently my HDMI port is faulty thus i am unable to use a new monitor i bought. Do i have to change my entire graphic card? Or is it possible to just fix the HDMI port? My graphic card is working fine and I'm really tight on budget! please advice!

Did you try out the HDMI on other monitors? did it work? If not got try different wires? if It the HDMI spoil, you can go RMA it
