Head/earphones Recommendations Thread

Thanks for the appreciation as well! For customs earphones within that price range, why not check out the Unique Melody Merlin and Miracle? Something with warmer sound and fuller bass is the former but I find the Miracle more detailed, clear mids with good bass and more airy. Both of our stores has audition sets, maybe you can visit us then compare these two models.

I tried both the Miracle and Merlin on separate occasions. personally I find that the Merlin is slightly sibilant on certain tracks but has good clarity. the Miracle has a nice neutral airy sound, but it lacks the fun factor of the Merlin IMO. are there any iems that are in between the two? thanks!

Ahh..this is where preference comes in.. Maybe if you can stretch the budget a bit, then I think Unique Melody Mentor will be suitable and a worthy choice. Have you tried them yet?

The regular ones before has stronger bass compared to the SPE version. I find the bass more boomy while the SPE is more controlled. The mids are more transparent for the SPE I can say and sounds more balanced. Maybe you can try the demo for it then you can have a comparison with your BA200.

Hmmm..quite hard to compare and say which one is "better" as sound is always subjective. However, maybe you can try Shure SRH440 for comparison and if you can stretch the budget a bit, can consider AKG K550 or the Fischer Audio FA003Ti. Audition sets are available in both of our outlets.

For this price range, you can take a look at JVC NC120 and the Ultimate Ears UE6000. The former is an on ear type of headphone with retractable cable for easier storage and portability. The latter is an over the ear type of headphone with a built in microphone which you can use for answering phone calls and skipping of music tracks. I've tried the A-Jays Three and Four, I like the sound of a-jays three than four. Feels the sound from a-jays four is "covered". Unfortunately Three doesnt come with mic and remote control. Any other recommendation? or i should just buy a cheap earphone with mic and A-jays three for music?
