Was looking at either the um3x or ie80. But for my budget can i get a better combination with a better amp?
If you are looking to get the UM3x without changing amp it will fall within your price range. :) Have you tried the Westone 4?

If you like neutral amps can go for Pico Slim/iQube. :)
Decided to repost as I realize I cannot take iem very well, gonna stick to traditional earphones. Any recommendation? :) TIA

but the bass on the 240 are rather weak, dont you think so?
i would say try the panasonic htf-600 or creative aurvana live!.

although the CAL may not cover the entire ears for all. :)

Yes but the Shure SRH240 is one of the ones at the price range which is circumaural :) Creative Aurvana Live is a good choice but slightly higher priced and not fully over ears.

still think ts should increase his budget slightly so you all can recommend him something that he would like.
i think its more worth it, spend a couple more dollars for something you like then put up with something you dont.
learnt that when i got the old 240. :(

Hi everyone,

This thread has been brought to the attention of admins as the integrity of its content may have been compromised. As pointed out in the posts below, a member in question is allegedly making recommendations with his own agenda.

I will be PM-ing the said member with regards to this matter; we take a strict view on posting of misleading content, as stipulated in our Member's Terms and Conditons, Clause 6.2 here:

If the advice suits, yes there is nothing wrong. Only IF. I still do not think it is okay to give recommendations without objectivity. If other forumners are okay I cannot do anything as well. Just pointing out what can be improved in this thread.

imho, It's up to the due diligence of the buyer to listen to advice from interested parties.

Of course, fruit sellers say their fruit is the sweetest. The buyer if still take advice wholeheartedly. Who to blame? :)

I stopped posting (except for this post) ever since E1PA posted the comment below, coz even if we consider the variables that people look for it is still way easier to make recommendations based on a budget. So since I am merely making statements without due considerations of the one asking I figured I should keep my thoughts to myself. :s12::s12:

Me too. There are more factors that I'll state below.

Good interpretation. Here's my opinion,

I don't think it's 'good enough' to recommend products IF the 'seller'(of the fruit store) doesn't know the taste of the 'fruit' he's selling.

Hence it's not considerable to recommend people audio gear unless you have tasted all the 'fruits'. Only those he's personally 'tasted' can be compared to the other he has tasted before.

Even better if he could let the buyer 'taste' the fruit.

Don't act like you are a bullying victim and in search of pity from other people. Frankly as someone who has a shop of audio gears you strike me as unprofessional. If your intention in opening this thread is to help and share, then why you never give that kiatkiat guy your recommendation? Yet you are crying for sympathy.

I tried to talk it subtly and nicely so that this thread can be improved without defaming. But this is getting too ridiculous. In head-fi people like you would have been perma-banned.
