just to check on which will be more preferred for listening to music (in ear) for phone or tablet. Jaybird Freedom or Plantronics Backbeat go?

Would SE535 or IE80 be better to hear pop songs from katy perry, one direction, gym class heroes, flo rida, etc? And occassionally songs from adele.

Listening on my iPod touch.

I'm personally swaying more to the IE80, after much research on their various strength and weakness. IE80 more bass and soundstage. SE535 excels in mids and clarity. :)

Your rig - Laptop, Clip Zip and/or fiio e6

- What type of usage - Music

- File format used in your source - mp3 256-320

- Genre of music you listen to - English pop/rock/rnb/electronic

- Headphone / earphone type - IEM.

- Other requirements (if any) - mids-focused, more towards the fun side. For bass something more than B2/PL50 as i feel no impact/quantity. Acceptable clarity but no need top notch accuracy.

- Budget - Below $80 ~ $100

Thanks!

Need soe advises from the experts here

Usually listen from either my phone or Sansa Clip
Song type: Pop, Rock, New age some time

Current using TF10. Rarely use it because find it troublesome to put on. So always use UE Super 5v (something like that; one with Mic)

Thought changing to something similar to TF10, but easier to put on (UM2, 3, Shure Se300 series maybe...)

Thanks.

I would say overall on the genres you listen to the IE80 will be a better match for you

You have a price range in mind? =)
Can consider UM2/UM3x with detachable cable and if you need the mic can buy the Westone cables with mic as well =)

- Your rig - Sansa Clip+
- What type of usage - Music
- File format used in your source - mp3
- Genre of music you listen to - classical, rock
- Headphone / earphone type - IEM
- Other requirements - Able to wear from behind ear
- Budget - 2 budgets, 1 is ~100, the other is <200 (i would like to get 2 recommendations, thank you)

Owned a Westone UM1 before it gave way. Now using aJays4.
Looking to get a similar SQ to a UM1.
Read headfi forum... saw a few posts on UE200 and Phillip SHE 3590, are those 2 really giant killers?

I dont really have golden ears but i did enjoy my time with the UM1, not the aJays4.

Thank you.

Does IE80 require an amp in order to be worth investing in them? Does the same apply for the other high tier IEMs such as SE535, WE4R, TF10?

If you enjoyed the TF10 previously you might enjoy the Westone 4 more although its higher priced than the TF10 but sitll a good choice of upgrade from the TF10

Usually is not neccessary to get an amp, unless you want to get the more out of the earphone. From my experience, TF10 sound pretty decent without an amp.
