hi all,

can i have recommendations for an earpiece (in-ear) that's compatible with samsung devices particularly s3 with mic and answering calls? main reason is while riding bike, need to answer call or change music with the earpiece. thanks.

The level of clarity is very good, with plenty of detail coming through listening. Female vocals benefit from the crisp high end, and guitars from the similar mid-range.

The bass balance is good with the lows filling in well, not overpowering. This gives the drums, woodwind instruments, and the deeper strings have plenty of presence, but don't overpower the soundstage.

To add on, its pretty looking as well for a pair of earbuds.

Shure is known for their vocal and mids oriented sound signature, so the SE535LTD is no exception.

The attack is fantastic, providing an amazing clean, crisp sound which carries through into the attack from the bass. Bass notes hit cleanly and crisply with good articulation and dexterity, there is good texture on the bass as well. You can hear the subtle sounds like slight rattles in a bass string or the sound of the bass player’s fingers on the frets (depending on the recording of course).

The overall sound of the Sennheiser IE 800 is pretty balanced throughout the mids and highs, with a slight emphasis on the bass, overall still linear sounding.

The mids wise is the opposite of the Shure SE535 forward sounding mids, the presentation on the IE 800 is more laidback/relaxed on the mids. Very good timbre for vocals and acoustic instruments.

In conclusion, the overall performance is excellent and possibly the best that Sennheiser currently have. I really enjoy the clarity and detail which outshines the previous IE models, not to say that they are not good but the mids on the previous models do not sound as neutral as the current IE 800.

Yes and it comes with a analog volume control as well - the CKM300is is a great choice, other than that we suggest looking at this model:

Turtle Beach is an established gaming brand, the Ear Force M1 at $49 has good bass punch if that is something you prefer.

Over-the-ear wearing prevents microphonic distortion when the cables hit against your body.

Westone UM1 has a more neutral sound whereas the SE215 SPE (blue) has a fuller sound and extended bass - natural characteristic of dynamic driver.

The sound quality is neither muddy nor overly bright. The bass, while not exaggerated, is remarkably pronounced for such a small driver.

On the SE215 SPE, the clarity is improved as compared to the regular version - giving it a much cleaner sound and most importantly, the extended bass depth. It is much enjoyable to listen to the SE215 SPE especially when it comes to rock music.

Having detachable cables for the SE215 SPE is a plus as well, I would recommend the SE215 SPE for something more fun and dynamic.

Hi there, $300 can get you a good pair of headphones actually, but cables wise maybe not necessary to spend as much. =)

audio-technica M50
The audio-technica ATH-M50 Professional Studio Monitor Headphones offer excellent build quality and very detailed, balanced sound with tight bass. They're also very comfortable as well.

AKG K550 slightly over $300 at $339.90.
The sound quality is great to say the least. The soundstage is amazing, similar to that of an open can headphone.

The bass isn't too forward, but vocals are very strong and present. Nothing is overpowering, and nothing sounds veiled or hidden - very clean and versatile.
