No chance to try the 8.a.. and the price is too much for me already. Like way too much :( Merlin is still reachable but not something I will get soon, lol. Very interested to try it tho, but I seen many people commenting that the demo version and the real version sounds very different from each other =/
That was fixed, should go ion
Try!

Hi all experts, currently using A-jays 4. I like how it sounds but I'm looking for an upgrade. Read a lot of good things about BA 200, hoping to get some recommendations to compare with when I actually try them out

- Your rig (iPod touch)
- What type of usage (music)
- File format used in your source (MP3, 320kbps)
- Genre of music you listen to (Rock, pop)
- Headphone / earphone type (IEM)
- Other requirements (not really)
- Budget ($180 - $230)

Thanks in advance:)

To add on, some really good ones I've tried are the Rockit Sounds R50, Vsonic GR07 and the Philips S2. All within your price range. :D

Currently I'm considering GR07 cause it resembles my current IEM, UHP336 by altec Lansing alot, with an improved bass performance and whatnot.

But I read reviews about Phillips s2 and how it's performance mirrors GR07 and whatnot at a cheaper price.

What are your opinions of the 2 IEMs and for those who have tried the 2 before, which would you prefer?

Thanks :s12:

Need recommendations for a proper soundcard/headset that can produce much better music quality then the my current super old razer megalodon..

Have moved from gaming to more music playing on my PC. But I still have the regular voice comms with clan and occasional gaming/movies.

- Your rig (PC, need recommendation soundcard too)
- What type of usage (movies/ gaming/ music)
- File format used in your source (mp3/wma/others)
- Genre of music you listen to (indie, club music, everything that is nice? ..)
- Headphone / earphone type (closed)
- Other requirements (if any) (mic, volume control)
- Budget ($300-$500 for headset+soundcard)

I have never bought a proper headset/soundcard as I was not so particular about it.. so abit lost with all the choices available, and its not like theres pure benchmarks to see online when deciding to purchase what like graphic cards etc.. :(

I tried GR07 MK1 so take things with a pinch of salt as I heard the MK2 sounds a little different.

For me, preferred the S2 as there was alot less sibilance compared to the GR07. GR07 had more piercing highs moments than S2, which rarely had it.

S2 was more fun sounding imo, and I like that sound sig, hence preferred it. However, that being said, i didnt like it that it was a flat cable. And fit would be an issue for some, although I didn't have a problem...

Yeah the S2 is really good for its price, but strongly recommending to audition it and try the fit. It seems a little trickier than other dish-shaped designs to me.

I have an A-Jays One+ so maybe i can comment a bit on that. the sound is a bit bassy but it's fairly good, hardly any distortion. For some reason though mine seems to have a mic whose button may be defective, doesn't seem to work all the time (I use android phone)

As you can see from this picture http://cdn.asia.cnet.com/i/r/2010/mpa/45238738/sc001.jpg

... the One+ driver housing has a rear part that is rather 'sharp-edged' and it might be a source of discomfort occasionally (if possible, try to audition for fit). Also, the flat cables are rather wide, about half a cm in width, so might be more tougher to wrap them if you use those cable wraps too.

Actually i heard Jays already has the A-Jays 5 coming out so maybe you can check it out, could be an improvement over the One+ design (though i think they will be over your budget)

hi guys

Need some preliminary advice on which IEM to go for.

Currently own SONY MDR-1R and SONY 7506. Using the MDR almost daily though.

Would be be going overseas for about 2 months? where my MDR would be deemed to "flashy" to bring with me. Hence thinking of getting a IEM for use.

Awaiting my Fiio X3 so would be pairing it with that.

Sound sig...I would not say I have a particular one, comfort more impt (hence I choose MDR (relaxed sounding +comfort) over Momentum)

Narrowed it to some choices: JVC FZ200? T-Peos H200?

Any other selection? I believe many have commented that the above two listed seems to be great value (SQ sounds more then its price)

*Abit regret not hooting the Null Audio Elphis*
