Thanks. Actually was looking to try other brands. How does SL99S, JVC HA-FRD80-Z and MMX101IE stack up against one another? In terms of clarity, detail and cable durability?

The MMX101ie got no volume control, sound-wise would say it is more balanced. HA-FRD80-Z got no volume control also, but it has this polarity switch to match the use of different brands of smartphones. Would say that it has a higher treble than the MMX101ie. The SL99s is designed for Samsung phones to use. It has volume control on it. Didn't try them before though. Perhaps you would like to try them as my hearing and music preferences would and might be different from you.

The only earphones with volume control which can be used by Samsung devices is the Soul by Ludacris SL99.

If I remembered correctly, my UE 600vi volume control works. It could be due to my phone is rooted. So could you recommend me another earphone? The volume control does not need to be for samsung.

We cannot give a 100% guarantee as from our understanding it is the hardware that is causing the issue. As for your other question on durability, it will depend on how the earphones are being used. If possible maybe you could drop by our outlets and give them a try, our staffs can make recommendations to you as you're trying.

The BA200 is more special because it has an impedance stabiliser along the wire. So far from the range of products that we carry and understand only it has this feature. Thus sound-wise it might be hard to get something that sound similar.

If you don't mind stretching the price range slightly, there's the JVC FX-T90. There's a special walk-in price in store which I can't reveal here. It has been reviewed that the FX-T90 has crisp highs which personally I had tried before and I would find that the highs are comparable against the highs from UE600vi. One interesting thing about the FX-T90 is that it features dual dynamic drivers. One of them will be the high range driver and one is the low range driver.

If you don't mind something that is worn over your ears, you can consider the Shure SE215 Blue also. Which is also having a special walk-in price which I can't reveal here. Personally own them, find that their highs are not as harsh as the FX-T90. Bass wise I feel that they are more extended and not as boomy.

One thing to know that between these 2 earphones, the Shure SE215 Blue only has 1 driver whereas the FX-T90 has 2. This does not mean that the FX-T90 is better. It would depend on how individual company implement the technology and how they tune the driver(s). Last thing to note is that they both do not have any mic.

Personally I'd like something with rich lush mids with an emphasis on vocals. Bass should not be neglected as well. I'm not too particular about the highs.

Unless you're planning to use them on flights, or else it is not really recommended to get ANC IEMs as most people would find that the system will add coloration to the sound. However if you really are interested in ANC IEMs, there is the ATH-ANC33is from Audio Technica.

From my personal hearing the BA200 would be the more all rounder. But the bass section is not as boomy as the FXT90. If possible you can drop by our outlets and give them a try to decide which is better for you. Don't worry there are no time limit for you to try.
