i listen to a wide variety of pop, rock and classical songs. my requirement is for it to have sufficient bass, clear mids and highs are extremely important.

Perhaps you can give the Audio-Technica ATH-CKS99 and ATH-CKS77X a try. They are definitely great for hip-hop, rock and mainstream pop. As for classical songs, i would prefer some other over-ears design which you can't stand:s8: But then again, you might find them okay for classical too. Feel free to drop by our stores for a tryout.:)

Hi, i would like to look for headphones for use on PC at home for pc gaming, music and movies. I would like those which can cover the ear, and comfortable for long use. Budget would be around $100 or less. Can go slightly above if neccessary.
1. Music genre is wide variety of chinese pop music, kpop
2. For gaming, prefabably with good surround sound... Mic is optional as i dun use often
3. Need to have sufficient bass, and clear sound.
4. Volume control would be a bonus

You can consider the Logitech G230 or G430 and the Razer CARCHARIAS

Rig: Iphone 4S, Fiio E11(not always using), Laptop, PC w fatality sound card
Genre: Classical (O Sole mio, Carmen Act 1, Nocturne) EDM (Hardwell, Garrix, Steve Aoki), Anime songs (Maware! Setsugetsuka, MOSO Ranbu, No Pain No Game)
Usage: Music mostly
Special req each:
EDM: Good bass (that can handle the drop from "Animal" by Garrix)
Classical: Hit notes in Carmen Act 1
Budget: $300+/- each if both budget $500

If possible recommend 1 that can do both (which I think is quite impossible as these are 2 extreme in music). Else kindly recommend 1 headphone for each(Classical & EDM since most can handle anime songs). No earphones please hate stuffing objects into my ear canal. Thank you in advance.

- Your rig (mp3 players, amps, soundcard etc)
Samsung Galaxy S4, Laptop

- What type of usage (movies/ gaming/ music etc)
Casual gaming, mp3 music, youtube

- Headphone / earphone type (closed, open, cirumaural, IEM etc)
IEM

- Other requirements (if any) (mic, volume control, 5.1ch, 7.1ch etc)
I'm thinking of getting the Dunu DN-1000, or Astrotec AX35 or Astrotec AX30, 3 of which seems to have good reviews. What are your opinions, if I buy a portable DAC like Fiio E17 to go with it?

Wow..such extreme..ok..lets start with the classical part first. Sennheiser HD558 and Audio-Technica ATH-AD900X are my top choices under the $300 range. They should do fine in vocals, jazz, new age music as well. For EDMs, Audio-Technica ATH-M50X, Grado SR-125i and AKG Tiesto K167. Feel free to drop by our stores to try them out.:)

Using wired or wireless earphones depends on your usage preference and it doesn't really denotes which one is more durable. We usually advise to keep the earphones in a casing that is given or preferably a hard one for more protection. You can take a look at JVC FX3X, Audio Technica ATH-IM70 (detachable cables so you can replace just in case it spoils) and the JBL S100. :)

Why not check out the AKG K550, and if you don't mind using Audio Technica again, you can take a look at ATH-A700X. Also, if you can still stretch the budget then you can also consider the Sennheiser Momentum.

Feel free to drop by our stores to audition the demo sets. :)
