From your requirements, you can consider the Sennheiser CX300II, Audio Technica ATH-IM50 which has detachable cables so you can put the cables behind your back to lessen microphonics (cable noise) and the Fischer Audio Bullet 6MM which I personally feel one of the most value for money earphones within this price range. Oh.. for bass, I would personally choose the Audio Technica ATH-IM50. If you want more controlled, those not boomy type, then the Fischer Audio Bullet.

Have you tried the Shure SE425 and the Westone UM Pro 20? Both of them can suit your genre of music as I listen also to RnB, Pop and Acoustics.. Also, both models have detachable cables so just in case cable got spoil, you can change the cable itself, it may cost you less. Feel free to visit our stores and audition them first.

I am contemplating between getting the IM02 vs the Shure, SE215 Special Edition + Fiio, E12 (Both are about the same price ~$250). As I have never used an amplifier before, which would provide an overall increase in SQ? The IM02 would definitely be superior over the SE215 individually, but with the addition of the Fiio E12, would the combined SQ for the SE215 be better?

Below is the previous post that I posted on this thread, and Team Stereo recommended the IM02:

My impressions on it was that the SQ was clear and goos but a bit lacking on the soundstage. I am quite new to the scene so I am not sure of the technical terms. What I wouls like is a earphone that can best play music that can best bring about emotions(e.g visualing yourself hearing epic/dramatic instrumental music in a concert with surround sound)

Hi there, both the IM02 and SE215 don't really require any external amps and should sound just great on their own. You may want to consider investing your $$$ in a better IEM of your choice for now. If you really like the E12 or any other headphone amps, do pair them for an audition and see if you like the match-up first.

I need something that has bass, but doesnt overpower the clear voice as i usually listen to pop music. The bass is needed for dance music only.

You can consider looking at House of Marley Uplift and the Moshi Audio Mythro. The latter doesn't has a volume control though but it suits the genre that you're listening to. Also, if you don't mind those without the controls and extending the budget a bit, you can consider the Audio Technica ATH-IM50 which has detachable cables so if anything goes wrong with the cable, you can change it and may cost you less. We also advice to keep in the casing that comes with the earpiece for better protection.

I actually felt like the original Momentum seemed to bring out the instrumental separation better than the on-ear.

I went down to the ION and Plaza Singapura branches earlier and there was this one assistant from the Plaza Singapura branch that recommended the Sennheiser CX880. Not really requesting for any recommendations now but just want to thank the assistant for giving a very detailed explanation on the difference between the different products. ^^

So I realised I've asked on this thread for a recommendation before for IEMs. I finally made my purchase yesterday at the Plaza Singapura outlet for the audio technica ATH-IM01, and it's awesome, even though it was a last-minute decision to change.
