$25-$28 Xiaomi piston 3. Comes with volume and mic control.

Almost all high end iems doesnt come with volume and mic control and they requires a good dac which ur s5 doesnt has unless you are willing to spend more on quality usb dac.

I am looking for something with good extended bass that goes low with punch. Do not like boomy bass though. Listened to my friends shure se112+ and klipsch x4i and found that it did not have enuf bass for my liking. I am not sure if i can find something at this price range.

Actually if you are just going casual listening, i think best bang for your buck is Klipsch R6m? Just for the sound quality and their ear-tips. Got mic and button also.

If not, Seinheiser CX5.00G not bad also. same price range.

Well usually i dun really recommend klipsch. I find their price are usually higher in Singapore so not worth. Well under $50, the most popular and bang for buck iems with mic n control are only xiaomi piston 2, piston 3 which I know of.

Thx for the replies. I tried the klipsch and shure to just see what expensive IEM sound like. I did not like both of them. Just looking for something better than my thin sounding stock iem that came with the phone. I don't need mic or vol control. Will check out xiaomi iems. For budget stuff should i be looking at Creative's low end IEM like ep630?

A lot PPL said piston 3 has less bass and piston 2 is basshead iem. But Piston 2 is discontinued and is likely hard to find one in the future. You May wanna ask your friends if they own one so that you can audition it.

I dont really recommend creative products LOL but most importantly is to auditiom them before one buy

lol not too big a fan of xiaomi yet. will just stick to those that please my ears.

i reckon you should do the same, try everything and see if it sounds good and if it is comfortable for you.

But hell the pistons are dirt cheap. Many PPL Will probably buy it before even trying them @@

Yes.

Don't use it to keep much stuff. All memory is music.

Depends on songs. Don't have that many Dsd.

Mostly high resolution MP3. The hf player can upscale mp3 to Dsd. Plays dsd/ flac / etc.

For this, you might want to get creative's soundblaster DAC/soundcard, I remember some of them have this function and it supposedly works quite well.
