Budget 100 with good bass. Any recommendation? It's a gift for a lady.

Any specific genre's she listens to? With controls/mic? For iphone or android? If theres nothing for people to even work on, how do u expect recommendations, use the recommendations list guide? Music that sounds good to one may not sound good to another through the same set of earphones. Might as well just recommend apple earbuds, cos they are the best, shares your lovely music with EVERYONE around you, nah im just kidding.

If you REALLY cant make a decision, the Rock Jaw Alfa Genus is a good choice, has interchangeable filters for different EQ settings and sound sigs. $99 stereo.com.sg

OMG just grab. IMHO it is severely underated for a dual BA, I'm wondering if I should get in case my BA200 dies. Which is currently 3 years ++.

If you guys got a choice between ATH IM50, fisher consonance, fisher consonance and T-jays 4... Which would you guys go for?

A bit dilemma about it.. Using iPhone and listening to mostly rock music. Sometimes mainstream also. Likes clarity and bass. :o

Go down and test them ALL lol. You can get the most popular answer which is probably gonna be IM50s, but end of the day if u dont go down and test them, end up buying but dont like the sound sig den its just a waste of money. What the **** is up with everyone saying they like clarity and bass HAHAHA is it just copying cos you guys dont know what you really want? :)

Hmmm. Everyone seem to be recommending IM50/IM70.

Can someone advise me (noobie) the differences between the two models? Which retailer has samples to test them out?

My budget is around <$200..

Thanks in advance!

Do you like bassy sounding? Those are more of the bassy type. If you prefer more balanced sounding, check out the Sony XBA-A1AP which is within your budget.

Yeah I'm an advocate for the A1. Too underrated imo :D

Wired: Audio Technica ATH - Sport 3 $68 Stereo or challenger both oso have. Even if spoil not so heartbreak.

Wireless you can look at sony walkmans range, all not bad but above your budget i think, if under $150 i dont think is good buy for wireless, unless you dont mind lousy review pay for brand kind, i can think of the Soul Flex... Maybe others will know

Thanks for the recommendation.

Well like i always say, go down and test them all. You can go down to Stereo at Ion or Plaza Sing and test them, you can ask for recommendations by the knowledgeable and helpful staff. Yes they know their stuff like a true passionate audiophile and certainly can help you dial in the perfect sound sig and iem thats suitable for you.

No worries even if you are a noob, just let them or us know what kinda music you listen to, and if you are just starting off, no point splurging $200 cos you might not be able to appreciate such high quality iem's with a sub-par source quality. I'd say keep under $100 for everyone else who is just starting out on their road to good music hehehe :) example from prev posts of mine, if you have such good iem, and source quality is only 128kbps mp3 files, you'll end up wondering why they sound so shitty and most people dont realise that its the files, not the earpiece themselves. You might end up hating the iem instead of realising you should be upgrading the source to at least 320kbps to make the most out of your investment.
