Headset compatibility with mobo issue.

Guys I'm using a ASUS H87M-E mobo and it haves only 3 color audio jacks. Pink green blue.

While my roccat kave have black, green, pink, yellow.

When I plugged in the green and pink of my kave, i only experience 2.1 sound.

So does that means i can't have 5.1 unless i get a soundcard or change mobo ?

Yes that seems to be the case. Or u can try to use the audio driver software to convert the pink and blue ports into output ports, since currently they are microphone and line-in respectively.

Have you installed the drivers? The Realtek chipset uses jack-detection. It means when you plug in your headset jack, a popup should appear asking you to select the type of jack you just plugged in. But this only works with drivers installed.

Since there are only three jacks, you can't use 5.1 sound and your mike at the same time.
