Finished in second place for today's HSA Oasis Bang 2 tournament and earned 5 world championship points. Just sharing my deck list here. The classes are selected based on 3 months worth of tournament data.

No combo druid? I do see it quite often in tournament streams. Especially now with Emperor.

The next combo deck that might be getting popular will be the warrior one with grim baton. That one damn hard to predict cause its still new.:vijayadmin:

Looking at the trend for the meta post undertaker nerf, druid was the best competitive deck during the month of February. However, afterwards it started sliding down the list due to multiple losses against various classes in tournaments globally. As of now, the data puts druid at the bottom of the table.

Of course people might not agree with such assessment, but that's what the statistics says. Personally I like playing combo druid but I want to win, so I decided to go along with what the data say are the best classes in the current meta. I forced myself to learn oil rogue and demon handlock. They aren't exactly easy decks to play.

BRM cards are banned from this tournament. It was a decision taken by the organiser to ensure that the participants aren't forced to adapt to the new BRM meta after preparing for weeks or even months.

If it helps to make you feel better, despite winning 2 tournaments and coming in 2nd and 3rd on separate occasions, I have never hit legend rank before. I get really sick of grinding the ladder mindlessly. As a result I prefer playing BO5 with friends and my team mates than spending time on ladder. Even playing arena is more fun to me.

Add me if you need someone to train with: chungfr#6215

now that it has hit iPhones and Android phones, it will be easier to clear the daily quests.

i hope more SG players start playing too. it is a really good card game.

Any guide on the game? Just started haha
guide:

Do your daily quests (changing away 40 gold quests whenever possible, by pressing cross)

clear all the quests that give u extra gold (base ones like clearing cpu heroes).

earn gold thru arena (you only gain an advantage if you clock 4 or more wins, 6 wins will pay for your arena run + 1 pack), anything more than 6 wins u get paid for your arena run + 1 pack + additional rewards.

if u dont care about $, just spend $ on it haha... will accelerate your card collection, but not necessarily your skills.. i would say play slowly and enjoy the game, learn board control, card mulligan tactics (watch how trumpsc plays).

basically thats it. i would also suggest getting basic packs instead of gvg ones if u are new comer..

must craft legendaries: Dr boom, ragnaros, sylvanas (*rag/sylvannas depends, but dr boom is a no brainer, if u wanna know what to craft early).

have fun , lol

I see.. I saw the packs got dungeon packs n basic de lol blur

Which basic hero is good for a start?

there is no "best" hero. some heroes play well vs others and not so well vs the rest. if you dont intend to spend money, you can
kiss the hope of getting all gold cards goodbye (unless u play 8 hours a day). If so i suggest you disenchant the extra gold cards once u got 2 copies of the normal cards.

as stated in the previous posts, once u decide to craft a legendary, craft Dr. Boom first. but imo, its better to spend the dust on crafting the good rares and epics first. they will help immensely in clearing your daily quests.

take for example a druid. for the price of 1 dr. boom, u can get 2 force of nature and 2 ancient of lores, which are all essential components of a druid deck.

I disagree that there is no "best class" in the any given meta, at least according to tournament statistics. While true that every deck has its counter, there are certain decks which inherently has more favourable match ups than other decks. This is a reason why tier list exists, whether they are based on subjective opinion or backed by hard data.

From my own compilation of tournament statistics, mech mage is technically the "best" deck in the current meta. The sheer tempo it grants allows the mech mage player to gain control of the board and overrun the opponent. But as mentioned before, it has its own counters, though not as many as what most people perceive.

For newbies, it is generally advisable to go for a deck which is cheap yet competitive. I strongly recommend face hunter to a newbie, as much as the average player hates face hunters to the core. The inherent low cost of the deck allows the newbie to have a feel of how a tournament worthy deck works.

Regarding crafting strategy, several reddit posters have done the maths. It is generally better to craft legendaries first, as opposed to epics and rares. The reason behind such strategy is simply due to the fact that legendaries are significantly harder to obtain from packs.

TLDR: Mech mage is probably the most competitive deck currently, but face hunter is the cheapest competitive deck for a newbie. Always craft the required legendaries first before crafting epics and rares.

facehunter ftw :s13:
if u no naxx or blackrock

strat: generally just click on face, you will pick up finer points later :s13:
it's like playing mahjong 13 yao, dont really have to care about their deck, just have to draw the right things on your end
is liek playing rpg

tracking2
huntersmark2
glaivezooka2
explosivetrap2
eaglehorn2
animal companion2
skillcommand2
unleashtehounds2

abuserg2
leper gnome2
worgen infil 2
ironbeak owl2 (silentowl)
knife jgu2
arcane golem2
wolfrider2

if needed just craft 1 copy first if u cant afford
e.g. 1 knife jug, 1 arcane, 1 eaglehorn
so u can rng

try to rush wing 1 for haunted creeper
not sure if you want to rush wing 4 for mad scientist at this point
maybe can go blackrock 1 for quickskillshot
http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/216803-the-most-skilled-deck-of-hearthstone-face-hunter

mad scientist is quite nice, quite powerful for single digit ladder ranks, but you can make do without it, more so if u lack eaglehorn

take all this with pinch of salt =:p

The typical face hunter deck used in tournaments will look like this:

1 Ironbeak Owl
1 Glaivezooka
1 Quick Shot
1 Leeroy Jenkins
2 Leper Gnome
2 Worgen Infiltrator
2 Abusive Sergeant
2 Haunted Creeper
2 Knife Juggler
2 Mad Scientist
2 Explosive Trap
2 Eaglehorn Bow
2 Wolfrider
2 Arcane Golem
2 Unleash the Hounds
2 Animal Companion
2 Kill Command

To play this deck optimally, you need to get as much damage as possible out of every single card. Your only board clear mechanic comes in the form of explosive trap and the form of knife juggler + unleash the hounds (sometimes without knife juggler). You almost never trade and just keep getting the face damage in. Typically you will win around turn 7 or turn 8.
